Fort Greene Council

Fort Greene Council, Inc. (FGC) is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization established in Brooklyn, New York in 1973 and incorporated in 1974. The Council's strives to provide services at several stages of the life cycle, at the beginning with our Early Childhood & free After School Programs, to our Senior programs for the elderly. Our Mission is to provide quality programming and human service care that encourages and embraces seniors, educate and empower children, while enriching the lives of families nurturing and supportive environment. -FGC provides services various services to the Brooklyn community: -13 Senior Centers in seven community districts -Young Minds Day Care Center -Compass after-school program -UPK Class. -In 1990, we launched JAZZ 966 to promote jazz in the community for seniors and the public at large.
