Pasadena City College (PCC) wants to hand out passes to higher education. PCC is a junior college offering associate's degree and vocational programs to more than 25,000 students annually. Among its 60 academic programs are architecture, computer science, journalism, and physics. The college also offers occupational training in 75 areas such as bookkeeping, construction inspection, hospitality, and nursing. PCC also provides community enrichment programs through its Extended Learning Center, which offers non-credit workshops and classes. PCC alumni include novelist Clive Cussler, actor Nick Nolte, and fashion designer Bob Mackie. The school was founded in 1924.
