Men need not apply to Chatham University, at least not for its undergraduate program. The university consists of Chatham College for Women, which offers bachelor's degrees to women only; Chatham College for Graduate Studies, which offers graduate degrees and teaching certificates to both men and women; and Chatham College for Continuing and Professional Studies, its co-educational online school. Undergraduate students can choose from more than 30 majors in such areas as the sciences, humanities, arts, environmental studies, and pre-professional studies. Chatham has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students. The private liberal arts school was founded in 1869 as Pennsylvania Female College.
